EMMA
Jane Austen's classic romantic comedy novel gets another update, with Anya Taylor-Joy in the title role. The story follows Emma Woodhouse as she assumes a role as a matchmaker for friends and associates while bungling her own love life. Director Autumn de Wilde makes an auspicious debut, showing off a flair for dynamic visuals and storytelling. Deleted scenes and a gag reel lead the extras.
THE GOOD PLACE
The inventive four-season NBC series, which wrapped up its run in January, stars Kristen Bell, Ted Danson, D'Arcy Carden, Manny Jacinto, Jameela Jimil and William Jackson Harper. The plot follows people who recently died and think they've gone to heaven, but begin to question their surroundings. Wildly creative, often philosophical and always hilarious, the sitcom was one of the most talked-about shows on TV. Extras include gag reels, 2019 Comic-Con panel footage, audio commentary and extended episodes.
JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK: APOKALIPS WAR
After Darkseid's megalomaniacal plans have driven the Justice League members to their breaking point, the remaining members band with the Teen Titans, Suicide Squad and other stragglers to mount a resistance. Brutal in tone and execution, the animated film is the art of comic book adaptation at its finest. Tony Todd, Camilla Liddington, Matt Ryan, Jerry O'Connell and Taissa Farmiga lead the voice cast. Extras include an Adam Strange short.
TOP GUN
The remastered 1986 action flick -- with a sequel waiting in the wings for later in the year -- makes its debut on Ultra HD. Tom Cruise plays a hotshot Navy pilot who tries to win prestige at an academy for elite flyboys. Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards, Meg Ryan and Tim Robbins fill out the cast. Flashy aerials and cheesy-yet-memorable quotes give the film its lasting impact. Extras include vintage promos, filmmaker commentary and a retrospective on the movie's legacy.
