Here are this week's hottest home video releases. Find them on disc, or streaming services such as iTunes, Vudu, Amazon and Google Play.
Instant Family
Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne play a couple who adopt three foster children, then deal with the chaos that comes with their supersized household. Inspired by a true story, the winning family comedy draws on the talents of its leads to keep the laughs and heartfelt moments rolling. Deleted scenes, filmmaker commentary and a gag reel make up the special features.
Robin Hood
A sloppy misfire, this retelling of the classic rogue's tale pairs Taron Egerton with Jamie Foxx. No one expected much of a fresh take on such an old story, but director Otto Bathurst's reliance on worn-out cliches does the movie no favors. Entertaining action set pieces with solid visuals do what they can to redeem the sluggish film. Extras include deleted scenes, outtakes and a seven-part making-of featurette.
A Star is Born
Bradley Cooper's directorial debut is an overwhelming success. Despite the film being the fourth version of a story that dates to Hollywood's earliest days with a fresh take. Along with co-star Lady Gaga, Cooper unleashes heartbreaking performances along with plenty of jaw-droppingly stunning music. The story of a romance between a past-his-prime, troubled performer and an upstart he helps usher to fame continues to resonate. For my full review, click here. Extras include musical outtakes and a featurette.
