TUCSON, Ariz. — The National Weather Service extended an Extreme Heat Warning for Southern Arizona through 8 p.m. Wednesday. The warning has been in effect since Thursday.
Temperatures could rise to as high as 117 degrees in parts of the region.
The advisory is in effect for western the Tucson metro area, western Pima County, Tohono O`odham Nation, south central Pinal County and southeast Pinal County.
