EVENING FOR SOUTHEASTERN GRAHAM AND SOUTHERN GREENLEE COUNTIES...
At 219 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Safford, Clifton, Solomon, Morenci, San Jose, Safford Regional
Airport, Roper Lake State Park, Duncan, York, Franklin, Guthrie,
Three Way and Swift Trail Junction.

Route 78 between mile markers 155 and 174. Route 191 between mile
markers 93 and 115...and between mile markers 131 and 176. Route 75
between mile markers 379 and 398. Route 70 between mile markers 342
and 385. Route 266 between mile markers 105 and 113.

There are multiple flash flood reports ongoing.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
