...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 500 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some
low-water crossings may become impassable. Ponding of water in
urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1256 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small
stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor
flooding in the advisory area.

Tucson, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Casas Adobes, Drexel
Heights, Flowing Wells, South Tucson, San Xavier Community,
Tucson Mountain Park, Tucson International Airport, Catalina
Foothills, Valencia West, Tucson Estates, Saguaro National Park
West and Ryan AirField.
- This includes the following highways...
Interstate 19 between mile markers 58 and 63. Route 86 between
mile markers 160 and 171. Route 77 between mile markers 70 and
74. Interstate 10 between mile markers 249 and 265.
This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
Santa Clara Ave at El Vado Wash, 1st Ave north of Fort Lowell Rd,
Stone Ave at Mabel St, Alamo Wash between Speedway and Grant,
Camino De La Tierra at the Rillito River, Camino de Oeste from
Sweetwater to Gates Pass, Ironwood Hills Dr from Shannon to
Camino de Oeste, Snyder Rd from Kolb Rd to Sabino Canyon Rd and
Sunset Rd west of Camino de Oeste.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
