...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Central Cochise County in southeastern Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 700 PM MST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 954 AM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the
advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sierra Vista, Tombstone, Bowie, Pearce-Sunsites, Chiricahua
National Monument, Fort Huachuca, Elfrida, Sunizona, McNeal,
Kansas Settlement, Fairbank, Charleston and San Simon.
- This includes the following highways...
Route 90 between mile markers 317 and 323. Route 80 between mile
markers 308 and 327. Route 181 between mile markers 39 and 64.
Route 191 between mile markers 18 and 58. Route 92 near mile
marker 322. Interstate 10 between mile markers 362 and 391. Route
82 between mile markers 60 and 67. Route 186 between mile markers
337 and 359.

Davis Rd between HWY 80 & HWY 191 and Hwy 181 at Turkey Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
