The Department of Public Safety responded to a crash allegedly caused by a wrong-way driver near the I-17/I-10 split early Sunday morning.
According to DPS, they received reports of a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes on I-17 near milepost 155 near US-60 around 3 a.m.
DPS says as troopers were responding to intercept the wrong-way driver, a crash occurred. DPS says the crash did involve the wrong-way driver but at this time it is unknown how many vehicles were involved in the crash or if anyone was injured.
All eastbound traffic on I-10 was being diverted to I-17 prior to the split , but ADOT confirmed all lanes have reopened.
