This year, families are spending a lot of time together at home. But with all of that wonderful quality time comes a downside… more to clean up! At the end of a long day, no one wants to face a sink full of dirty dishes and cluttered countertops. Now that school is back in session and there’s even less free time, everyone needs to pitch in with the household chores.
Amy Goodman will share her top tips for kitchen cleanup closure, including effective tips and DIY hacks that involve the whole family. In this segment, she will expand on the following:
- Table-settings: Have the kids be in charge of setting the table each night.
- Post-meal clean-up: Everyone should get in the habit of putting his/her plate in the dishwasher or sink immediately after meals, including the children.
- Make your own kitchen countertop and faucet cleaner: dip a lemon slice in baking soda.
- Make this all-purpose general cleaner: Equal parts distilled white vinegar with water in a spray bottle. Spray on windows, and use newspapers or microfiber cloth to dry. (You can use this general cleaner for kitchen countertops, etc.)
