Durre Mubin Raina, a thriving business woman, introduced Trendz and Traditionz Boutique to the Tucson community in 2011. Raina carried a passion for design and fashion ever since she could remember and took on the task of bringing South Asian culture into the community. Raina’s boutique is a place for people of South Asian heritage to feel at home even if home is a country thousands of miles away. Although the clientele is mostly comprised of South Asian women, it is not exclusive and is welcoming to people of different diversities.

Trendz and Traditionz specializes in exquisite Indian and Pakistani fashion made from some of the most renowned designers in the industry. From Asim Jofa and Maria B. to Lakhany and Sobia Nazir, the boutique is shelved and hung with strikingly gorgeous South Asian attire. A unique quality of the boutique includes the option of on-site alterations. Women and men have the opportunity to visit the store with an item of clothing to their liking and leave with a perfect fitting outfit adjusted to their shape. Raina’s boutique is also well known for the jewelry such as silver and pure gemstones from India and Nepal and handicrafts from Turkey.

Many of her items are handmade as well including hand carved wood from Kashmir, hand painted glass candle holders, and hand woven bed covers and table cloths from pure Turkish cotton. The Turkish imported jewelry, the temporary henna tattoos, and the astounding range of accessories add a pop of color to the boutique.

Clients rave about the hospitality of Raina and her employees, for Trendz and Traditionz sticks true to customer satisfaction. Located on the corner of Swan and 5th, Trendz and Traditionz has a promising future in the industry of fashion and design and is preserving diversity and culture in the Tucson community.
