After nearly falling out of the AP Top 25 college basketball poll last week, the Arizona Wildcats surged to No. 17.

Wins at Washington State and Washington helped Arizona catapult from the No. 23 spot.

After No. 1 Oklahoma lost to Kansas State, Villanova is the new top-ranked team. Maryland is No. 2, followed by Oklahoma, Iowa, Xavier, Kansas, Virginia, Michigan State, North Carolina and West Viriginia.

Oregon, at No. 11, is the highest-ranked Pac-12 team. USC, new to the poll at No. 23, is the only other ranked team in the conference.

Arizona takes on UCLA at 7 p.m. Friday at McKale Center. The game will be televised on ESPN.
