Today's Arizona Basketball weekly news conference began the way they all do, with a spokesman saying that there will be no update on sophomore guard Allonzo Trier.

Trier has missed the first seventeen games of the season with an unknown eligibility issue. He continues to cheer on the bench, and he participates in practices.

The Pac-12 Network reported during last Saturday's game broadcast against Colorado that head coach Sean Miller said he expects Trier to play at some point this season.

On Monday, Miller was pressed to comment on Trier, who averaged close to fifteen points a game last year as a freshman.

"I hope that Allonzo has an opportunity to play sometime this year," said Sean Miller. "I'll leave it at that. If I knew more, I would say. If I was able to, I'd say, but this is far more higher above me. I'm just a soldier following orders."
