For the first time since part of his lower left leg was amputated, Roadrunners captain Craig Cunningham was back at the Tucson Arena.

Cunningham visited with his teammates in the locker room, where his uniform still hangs, before the game. He then sat in section 124 during the Roadrunners 3-2 win over Texas, where he signed autographs and sat with the scratches.

It was back on November 19th, prior to a game against Manitoba, that Cunningham suffered cardiac arrest on the ice. Paramedics rushed to save his life. Doctors then had to perform complicated procedures to save his life.

There was a news conference prior to Christmas in which it appeared that Cunningham would soon be released from Banner Medical Center. However, an infection forced the lower part of his leg to be amputated. Doctors are still investigating why Cunningham suffered cardiac arrest.
