Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach and former Arizona Wildcats star Miles Simon reportedly left the Lakers' arena on a stretcher following the Lakers' preseason game vs. the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night.
The 42-year-old Simon played for Arizona from 1994-98 and helped lead the Wildcats to their one and only men's basketball national championship in 1997. He was named the 1997 Final Four Most Outstanding Player.
Simon served as an assistant coach at UA under Lute Olson from 2005-08 and was later a college basketball analyst and broadcaster for ESPN. He has been a Lakers assistant coach since June 2017.
