Tucson High football practicing at Cherry Field

Tucson High School Football is having to practice at Cherry Park after the flooding to Gridley Stadium.

Badger players had to duck under a fallen tree to walk to practice at Cherry Field on Tuesday afternoon. But, that's still a better alternative to the flooded field at Gridley following last week's storms.

"The field is damaged but the extent of the damage is still unknown," said Stefanie Boe, the TUSD Senior Director of Communications. "Hopefully, we'll have a good picture of what needs to happen soon as the first home game is a month from today."

That home game is against Mountain Ridge. Head Coach Justin Argraves' Badgers open the season on August 18th at Buena, a team they beat 61-2 to open last season.
