TUCSON, Ariz. - Salpointe Catholic High School hired Todd Schulte as its new football coach Friday.
Schulte has coached at the school in various roles since 1998.
A University of Arizona graduate, he replaces Dennis Bene, whose record over 19 seasons was 184-44. The team made it to the state Open Division semifinals last season.
“I am thrilled to lead Salpointe’s football program,” Schulte said in a statement. “The foundation that has been set before me is tremendous. I look forward to guiding the program into the future and maintaining the Lancer tradition!”
