Isaac Cruz hit a game winning buzzer beater in overtime to lift Salpointe over Catalina Foothills, 57-55 at Amphi High School.
The game was originally going to be played in the Phoenix area, but with both teams from Tucson, it was moved to a closer neutral location.
The Falcons had beaten the Lancers both times during the regular season.
Salpointe will not play Shadown Mountain, on Saturday, at the Gila River Arena for the Class 4A state championship.
