Despite a solid showing at the NBA draft combine, Arizona basketball's Rawle Alkins is returning to the Wildcats for his sophomore season.
Alkins wrote on twitter, "After much thought and consideration, I have decided to continue my college career back in Tucson at the University of Arizona. Declaring for the NBA draft has taught me more than I could have imagined and has been an incredible experience. I can't wait to help the Wildcats win a national championship next year with a great team, a great coach, and the most amazing fans in the world behind us!! Bear Down."
Alkins was able to return because he did not sign with an agent. He was the leading scorer in one of the five-on-five games at the NBA Combine in Chicago.
The New York native averaged eleven points and five rebounds for the Wildcats as a freshman.
