TUCSON, Ariz — Prolfic Texas high school passer Grant Gunnell is among 20 to sign a national letter of intent for Arizona Football.

Gunnell, a 6'6'' right handed quarterback, passed for the most yards in Texas high school prep history.

"He's a tall guy," said Sumlin. "He can throw it. He can throw it a lot, and likes to throw it. He's smart, and has won a lot of games. I think that's a combination that is something you look for."

Sumlin said that the offensive and defensive lines were his number one priority. There are four junior college transfers who will be able to play immediately. There is also Marana high school star Jordan Morgan, who can play both tackle positions.

"He's a great player in town," said Sumlin of Morgan, who was a big part of the Tigers passing game.

Eight of the twenty incoming player are from the state of Texas. Sumlin has ties to the state from coaching at Texas A&M and Houston.
