Arizona football lands 3-star recruit following a tough week

After missing out on a couple of defensive backs, and losing 5 commits over the last few weeks, Arizona football finally has some positive news.

Tony Wallace, out of Desert Pines Las Vegas, announced via Twitter today that he has officially committed to the University of Arizona.  Wallace had offers from Colorado and UNLV as well.

With defensive backs coach Donte Williams accepting  a new job with Nebraska, two defensive recruits then followed. Greg Johnson, who will now attend Nebraska, and Thomas Graham, both decommitted from Arizona earlier this month. Both players would have been able to immediately contribute to the defense.

The addition of Wallace gives the Wildcats 23 commits for 2017. The Wildcats are coming off a 3-9 season, the first under new defensive coordinator Marcel Yates. They are not going to a bowl game for the first time since 2011.
