The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) will be hosting its first statewide virtual job fair this Saturday.

The education department said the virtual job tour will be held from 9 to 1 p.m. and will be hosted by the ADE's Exceptional Student Services Section.

“The past year has been a tremendous struggle for many Arizona students, but through the support of highly qualified teachers, many students have continued to succeed in the classroom,” said Superintendent Hoffman. “We know that schools only function with the hard work of our teachers and school staff. This year especially, we have seen a devastating number of teachers leave the profession. Events such as these job fairs are incredible opportunities to not only find a job but a new community of professional support within Arizona’s public schools.”

At this time, 110 public districts, charters, and Bureau of Indian Education schools and about 1,500 candidates are currently registered to attend the job fair.

Those interested in applying will be able to search for available positions, upload their resume, visit employer booths and talk to employers via text, audio and/or video while also learning about the communities and schools.

ADE will also be available online to help participants to become certified teachers in Arizona.
