SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) — Police in the Phoenix suburb of Surprise say a woman has been arrested for allegedly shooting and wounding her father.
They say Samantha White was taken into custody Monday on suspicion of two felony counts of domestic violence aggravated assault.
It was unclear Tuesday if White has a lawyer yet. ?Police say a caller later identified as White told police that she had shot her father.
Officers responded to the scene and say they found a man with a gunshot wound inside the home.
Police say the man was alert and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The circumstances behind the shooting or a motive weren't immediately released by police.
