A murder case involving an Arizona man suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend nearly two years ago has been dismissed without prejudice, meaning prosecutors can refile charge.
Jon Christopher Clark was arrested after the body of 19-year-old Kiera Lanae Bergman was found in Buckeye in September 2018.
The Phoenix woman was last seen alive at her home a month earlier.
Clark was indicted on charges of second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.
He pleaded not guilty and his trial was initially set for February 2020.
It was rescheduled twice before a Maricopa County Superior Court judge dismissed the case Tuesday.
The judge cited the prosecution's failure to disclose important, exculpatory evidence in a timely manner.
