GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Police in Glendale have arrested a couple suspected of killing a 27-year-old woman back last month.
They say 29-year-old Stephanie Kimbell called police on May 13 to report that a woman had knocked on their door and collapsed.
Kimbell and her husband, 28-year-old Brandon Kimbell, told officers that they didn't know the woman.
After investigating, police say the learned the woman, Brittany Hand, lived in the couple's apartment and was involved in an abusive relationship with them.
Hand was 27 years old.
Police say the Kimbells were arrested on Friday.
Brandon Kimbell faces one count of first-degree murder, while his wife faces charges of tampering with evidence and hindering an investigation.
