CAVE CREEK, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona State Forestry Department says a wildfire that began Sunday and threatening several homes is now 100% contained.
The fire burned a little over 2 square miles and was human-caused.
More than 130 homes were temporarily evacuated Monday as a precaution with some of the homes less than a mile from the fire.
Winds early on in the fire caused it to spread through a green space, into the desert, over a mountain and toward neighborhoods.
