Voters say yes to proposed $26.6M bond for Golder Ranch Fire District

TUCSON — Voters said yes Tuesday to a proposed $26.6 million bond package for Golder Ranch Fire District, according to unofficial election results released by Pima County Tuesday evening.

The bond is said to focus on employee safety, technology upgrades, improving public safety and infrastructure improvements.

Voters approved the bond 52.4 percent to 47.6 percent. Pima County officials will continue to count some ballots in the coming days.

"As a whole, this set of projects focuses long range investments in the critical areas of infrastructure, and employee and public health and safety," said the Golder Ranch Fire District Bond Committee.
