Phoenix Police Department detectives are on the scene of a deadly shooting inside a west Phoenix home, KGUN9 sister station KNXV reports.
Officer Mercedes Fortune confirmed to ABC15 two young girls, ages 4 and 5, were killed in the shooting.
The incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide. Fortune said the girls' father shot them and turned the gun on himself.
The incident happened around 10:00 p.m. Sunday in the 91st Avenue and Broadway Road in the Tolleson area.
According to Fortune, the 36-year-old father was living in the home with three other adults when the roommates heard the shots and called 911.
The Phoenix Police Department mobile command van is on the scene as detectives continue to piece together what exactly happened.
ABC15 is expecting another update from investigators shortly.
