Pima County Sheriff's deputies closed Houghton in both directions Friday afternoon due to a car wreck.
Houghton Rd north of Speedway Blvd at the bridge is closed in both directions for an accident. Please find an alt. route.

According to deputy Cody Gress, the accident involved a head-on collision resulting from a driver swerving to avoid a detached trailer.
Two motorists suffered minor injuries.
