A homicide suspect turned himself in to Cochise County Sheriff's deputies Tuesday.

According to the deputies, Jeffery Allen Groves killed 45-year-old Gregory Neely Nov. 20, 2010, leaving his body next to Neely's 1996 Ford Ranger near train tracks near West Geronimo Drive and South Railroad Ave. in Willcox.

Deputies matched Groves' DNA to evidence found at the scene through the Combined DNA Index System database.

A warrant was issued for Groves, who called the sheriff's office July 5 and was arrested and booked into Cochise County Jail on charges of second degree murder and destruction of evidence.
