TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) Video released by the Pima County Sheriff's Department shows an inmate escape from the jail.

In January 23-year-old Noah Pizano escaped from the jail. The jail says Pizano managed to get away from officers as he was being changed from civilian clothes.

The video shows Pizano enter a room that had a door to the outside. You can see Pizano standing in front of a door, press buttons, then leave. Lt. Elsa Navarro says someone in a control room mistakenly gave Pizano access and he was able to get out.

Moments after the escape you can see an officer enter the same room then exit. Another officer enters after that.

Navarro says after an internal investigation the jail found there were policies and procedures that were not followed that led to this incident. Since then Navarro says correctional officers have done some training to prevent this from happening again, and a they're working on disciplining the employee who unlocked the door for Pizano.

The inmate was located the next morning. Pizano was originally being held on multiple misdemeanor warrants including drug paraphernalia and a felony warrant for organized retail theft.

He's facing additional charges for the escape and is still behind bars.
