TUCSON, Ariz. - University of Arizona-area chicken finger fans will have to wait a couple more weeks to indulge their cravings.

The restaurant, originally slated to open July 30, will now open in mid-August.

"The date has indeed slipped to mid August," restaurant spokesman Russell Ford said in an email. "We will be sure to send you the press release with opening details."

The chicken finger restaurant will open at 2604 E. Speedway. It will be the 19th Raising Cane's in the state and the 448th total for the Louisiana-based franchise.

The area will get a third Raising Cane's when the location at 4225 N. Oracle Road opens in October.

Raising Cane's opened its first Tucson location in November 2015 at 6352 E. Broadway.
