Longtime Arizona Wildcats softball coach Mike Candrea will be inducted into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame in the fall.
Candrea will join former Arizona State and Arizona Cardinals star Pat Tillman, Olympic gold medal swimmer Gary Hall Jr., Arizona Diamondbacks player Mark Grace, Xavier College Preperatory golf coach Sister Lynn Winsor and Chaparral High School softball coach Jeff Oscarson in this year's class, which will be inducted at a Nov. 1 ceremony in Scottsdale.
Candrea, the winningest coach in NCAA Division I softball history, is also enshrined in the NFCA Hall of Fame, Pima County Hall of Fame, Central Arizona College Hall of Fame and National Softball Hall of Fame.
Candrea has led his teams to eight national titles and his Wildcat all-time record is 1,563-404-2.
