TUCSON, Ariz. - Supporters of U.S. Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg gathered Friday at the University of Arizona to celebrate her 86th birthday.

The celebration was slated to begin at noon at Old Main. In honor of Ginsburg's rigorous fitness regime, participants were asked to plank at the free event.

President Bill Clinton appointed Ginsburg to her post in 1993.

She has undergone treatment recently for cancer, as well as fractured ribs. The documentary "RBG," which tells her life story, was nominated for an Oscar, and Felicity Jones played Ginsburg in the biopic "On the Basis of Sex," which came out in theaters last year and will debut on home video April 9.
