A University of Arizona alum was the unfortunate victim in a first pitch gone wrong.
Tony Capobianco, who attended the UA, was taking a picture of a ceremonial first pitch at a Boston Red Sox game by 17-year-old pediatric cancer survivor Jordan Leandre when the throw sailed wide right, hitting Capobianco in the groin.
The video has gone viral. Capobianco was not seriously injured and made light of the event on Twitter.
I'm the one who got hit and I will never stop laughing at that video https://t.co/9lDHhbcnGO
