Two Oro Valley schools were on brief lockdown Friday morning but returned to operating normally.
According to Oro Valley police spokeswoman Kara Riley, a man riding a bike while carrying a gun was spotted near the Ironwood Ridge High School and Wilson K-8 campuses. Police approached the man, who said he was a hunter who was unfamiliar with the area. Police told him to stay away from the schools and did not detain him.
The schools were locked down for 20 minutes before resuming regular operations.
