Two firefighters injured in Burro Fire

As of Friday morning, the Burro Fire burning in the foothills of Redington Pass has burned 26,166 acres and two firefighters suffered minor injuries.

Fire officials say the fire is 19% contained and the cause of the wildfire is still under investigation. 

Residents of Summerhaven attended the community meeting at Sahuaro High School Thursday evening where fire officials gave updates on the fire progress.

Residents learned the main fire is six miles from Summerhaven. 

Resident and homeowner in Summerhaven, John Mulay says, he's lost five homes due to the Aspen and Bullock wildfires. 

Currently, there are 679 personal battling the fire including 15 crews, 46 engines, 30 water tenders, one bulldozer, and seven helicopters. 

According to fire officials, the Burro Fire is the number one prioritized wildfire in the state of Arizona -- 22 wildfires statewide. 

The wildfire was originally reported on June 30.

Evacuations for Mount Lemmon resident and businesses remain in effect. Fire officials are unsure when they will be lifted.
