TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson Unified School District sent a notice to parents warning of a donation collection scam.

According to the notice, women claiming to be from Dragon Corporation were collecting funds, saying they were meant to cover Vapor Intrusion Testing that the city scheduled at CE Rose K-8 over the weekend.

Here is the notice:

Dear TUSD families, It has come to Tucson Unified School District’s attention that this past weekend a women from “Dragon Corporation” was collecting donations to cover the Vapor Intrusion Testing that the City of Tucson scheduled at CE Rose K-8 over the weekend. Please be aware that this is a SCAM and neither Tucson Unified nor the City of Tucson requires any fee to run the test. We suggest if you were approached by someone requesting a donation to cover the Vapor Intrusion Testing that you report the incident to the Tucson Police Department. We are truly sorry if you were approached and impacted. Our hope is the police will be able to apprehend this person so no future SCAMS take place and misrepresent everyone involved. Thank you
