A Tucson woman who fell while trying to grab onto her boyfriend's car as he left following an argument has died.
Tucson police said Monday that 20-year-old Alicia Mungia died from her injuries on Saturday.
Mungia was injured on Dec. 11 and remained hospitalized in critical condition until her death.
Police say the couple had gotten into an argument in the home they shared and he left. Mungia ran out to the car and started grabbing the door handle and other parts of the car as the boyfriend was driving away. Murgia fell and hit her head and was also run over by the car.
The boyfriend stopped and called 911 while trying to help Murgia. Police say their investigation is open but no citations or arrests have been made.
