Tucson Police Department is investigating a three-car collision at South Harrison Road and East Golf Links Road on Tuesday night.
Officers had initially responded to a two-vehicle collision but found a second collision had occurred involving a third vehicle.
The third vehicle collided with one of the vehicles from the initial collision, striking a woman.
The woman was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the latest update.
The driver responsible for the second collision has been identified as 23-year-old Drevan Xavier Baltierrez.
After continuing the investigation, detectives arrested and booked Mr. Baltierrez into Pima County Jail on the felony charges of Aggravated Assault (Serious Injury) and Endangerment.
