Members of the Tucson Fire Department responded to a near drowning of a 10-month-old girl Tuesday afternoon.
At 4:30 p.m. units responded to the 5900 block of East 35th Street and were met in the front yard with the 10-month-old.
Paramedics quickly loaded the girl into the ambulance and transported her to the hospital.
Capt. Andrew Skaggs, a spokesman for the department, said it is not known how the child was exposed to the water or how long she was exposed for.
Sgt. Kimberly Bay, a spokeswoman for the Tucson Police Department, said that detectives are investigating the incident.
Bay said the girl was found in a pool.
The girl's condition is not known at this time.
