Near-drowning reported in midtown, girl pulled from pool

Members of the Tucson Fire Department responded to reports of a near drowning on Sunday near the 4000 block of East Glenn. 

Capt. Andy Skaggs said around noontime the family dog alerted them that something was wrong. A family friend then found a 4-year-old girl in the pool. 

The friend pulled the girl out of the pool immediately and began CPR. 

Officers from the Tucson Police Department arrived on scene and took over CPR efforts.

Firefighters then arrived and transported the girl to the hospital. The girl's condition is unknown at this time.
