TFD responds to fire in central Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that started after 10p.m. Friday night.

TFD received multiple calls saying smoke and flames could be seen from a house near 6th and Euclid Avenue and dispatched units at 10:35 p.m.

Per a press release from TFD, the house was single-story and sustained some damage behind a chainlink fence before Engine 3 could get water on the fire, which was put out in under 20 minutes.

The cause, origin and estimate of damages are not known yet.

No firefighters were injured during this event.
