The Tucson Fire Department is one of the select few chosen to participate in confined space rescue training.
Money for that training comes from a grant received by the International Association of Firefighters.
The confined space rescue program has been around for 20 years.
Tucson Fire Department officials said the department is always willing and ready to learn new techniques that will help them save lives.
The International Association of Firefighters picked the Tucson Fire Department for this training because the department already has the equipment and facilities to support that training.
