A teenager was sentenced to serve 12.5 years for the 2015 murder of a 47-year-old man.
Andres Jesus Moreno, who was 16 at the time of the June 2015 killing, was convicted of manslaughter and aggravated assault. His sentences for the two crimes total 12.5 years.
Authorities say Moreno killed Ricardo Figueroa, who was found dead lying in the middle of Milton Road, near Country Club and Drexel. Witnesses reported hearing a fight a few hundred feet away from the scene that led to the killing.
Moreno was reportedly romantically linked with Figueroa's daughter.
