Tucson police are investigating the June 30 death of a 38-year-old Troy Allen as a homicide.
The death was originally thought to be an accidental hit-and-run, but after an autopsy, the medical examiner found signs of trauma that were not consistent with being hit by a vehicle.
Police say Allen was killed that evening, then left on the roadway near Alvernon and Contractors Way.
