SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. - The Cochise County Sheriff's Office has returned abandoned urn found in Sierra Vista to its owner Thursday morning.
According to the office, deputies found a gold and silver urn near Nevada and Arabian, south of Sierra Vista Sunday.
After reaching out to the public, a stranger helped deputies return the urn, which was imprinted with the name Cheryl Ann Hewitt, to the owner, who says the ashes belong to her mother.
Deputies say the urn was lost when the owner had an argument with a man, who took the urn and left it on the side of the road.
