A southbound lane of Interstate 19 south of Tucson was closed for several hours Thursday so crews could repair the road.
Drivers were told to stay left to avoid congestion from the right-lane closure, which starts at Ajo Way.
Southbound I-19 has since reopened according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
