SAVING WITH $AM: Scoring a deal on a TV

Posted at 6:15 AM, Feb 03, 2017

The end of football season is one of the best times to buy a new TV on the cheap.

Good Morning Tucson anchor Samantha Cortese reports that analysts say Super Bowl weekend is right up there with Black Friday in terms of great TV deals.

A Best Buy representative says TVs as large as 65 and 75 inches are starting to take off in sales because prices continue to drop.

To find the TV that's right for you, do some research online and find what sort of brand, size, picture quality and color you're after.

Sets with 4K resolution are on the cutting edge of technology, and they are becoming more affordable.

Once you decide on your TV, you're best off avoiding add-ons such as warranty or installation. Most TVs have a built-in manufacturing warranty that will cover any defect.
