On Prime Day, Amazon offers deep discounts on tons of items, creating the July equivalent of Black Friday.
The event starts at 6 p.m. July 10 and goes on for 30 hours.
You have to be a Prime subscriber to participate, but you can avoid the charge by signing up for a free 30-day trial.
As with any other sale, you need to do your research to make sure products you are buying are actually being sold at discounts. Competitors such as Walmart and Best Buy will also offer sales close to Prime Day.
