TUCSON, Ariz. — Folks wanting to stay active this summer have a chance to get off on the right foot. The annual 5K run, known this year as Round Up at the Ranch, will take place this weekend.
The event will be on Sunday, June 23 starting at 6am at the Steam Pump Ranch, heads toward the Catalina State Park entrance before doubling back to the starting point. Attendees are encouraged to walk, run, or bring strollers for little ones.
Those who sign up before the day of the race will be charged $20, while same-day registrants will pay $25, and kids under 12 get in for free as long as they're accompanied by a participating adult. Numbers for folks in the race will be available for pickup on Saturday, June 22 starting at 10 am in the Oro Valley Community Center Arizona Room. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the race, and refreshments will be available before and after.
