Roadwork roundup: Where's the work? When will it be done?

Multiple projects around Tucson

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - If you drive Tucson Streets you are living this story---road construction that makes you endure delays now, for the pay off in smooth pavement when the road work is done.

A small majority of Tucsonans approved bonds---and a small tax hike to pay for road repairs--that's fueling a lot of the work, and the Regional Transportation Authority is footing the bill for other large projects.
From Silverbell where pavement laying down is a sign a 16 month project is wrapping soon, to Irvington near I-19, to Tucson Boulevard, roadwork projects are active all through the area.

There is an overall project to connect Kolb Road to Sabino Canyon.  A lot of the work is going to be done at night to minimize the impact on drivers, like the intersection with Tanque Verde.  That is going to be night work.

The Kolb to Sabino Canyon project re-shaped the intersection, now crews will add a treatment to make the pavement last longer.

A bit farther south, workers are building a bridge across the Pantano Wash to complete the bypass to relieve congestion on Kolb.

More towards midtown, Rosemont is quiet now, but headed towards a coat of fresh pavement.  Prep work will keep crews busy through November with the pavement work done the end of December.
